CARE FOR COVID VICTIMS

We reach out to lonely hearts who have been shielding at home and isolated in homes and hospices to give them better post-health covid outcomes by taking every practical measure in our power to reduce the impact of more than a year separated from friends and family and in solitary confinement.

EXCLUSION CAN TAKE A DEADLY TOLL

Isolation can pose a severe threat to people with conditions where cumulative symptoms are decisive in mortality rates. There will be a legacy of long-term acceleration in health deterioration and distressing mental health implications in others.

In one of the most tragic consequences of shielding alone, there is an increase in suicides attributed to being locked down. There remain people who are struggling with depression made worse due to loneliness. Some prone to self-harming behaviours.

The consequences of Covid-19 will survive long after the pandemic. Our response is to take all steps in our remit to limit the complications and collateral damage caused by Covid-19, responding as an urgent priority to help the poorliest in Welsh society.

INCLUSION CAN HEAL THE SOUL

To achieve this, we will give people in homes, hospices and social care occasions with a feel-good factor, uplifted by loved ones' presence. Helping them move past the negative thoughts and feelings built up over weeks and months, forced to live in destructive bubbles of isolation.

Reintegrating with people and society will be a daunting prospect for many vulnerable. We will enhance conditions of mind, body, and soul with music, movement, and expression, making people whole again by surrounding them with the love and happiness they've missed.

By redressing seclusion and inactivity, we will give the weakest people the strength to cope with the past year's negative influence and changes to come. In doing so, we support recovery from the aftermath of Covid-19 by improving and protecting the unwell's overall health.

THE SUNSHINE NETWORK

Our network of talented performers, music and dance therapists, can't wait to get on the road to bring the warmth and light of song and dance into the cold and dark lives of Covid's most isolated victims.

We've set a target of delivering 1,000 hours of live entertainment and therapy into care homes and hospices across England & Wales over the next 12 months, but we need your support to get there.

CAN YOU MAKE THEM SMILE?

With the unwell at their lowest ebb, carrying huge burdens of stress and worries about the future into the pandemic; The last thing they needed was depriving of the experiences making life worth living.

We will compensate for this human cost by making smiles into the next contagion. Spreading them across Wales to soothe souls, mend hearts, heal people, and hasten Covid's retreat from Wales.
